"I have learned that yoga is a path of exploration and study, and I am a compassionate lifelong student. I understand that when I lead a class, it is not about me; it's about becoming a vessel for the yogic knowledge to flow through. I attempt to deepen my practice by cultivating a yogic lifestyle, and by acknowledging and honoring yoga's ancient Indian roots. I try to encourage the promotion of yoga appreciation, and advocate for the un-appropriation and decolonization of toxic yoga culture in the West." -S.Z.
